The 18:42 train

I often take that train after work. It’s always the same: same people, same seats.

That day, though, I sat opposite a girl I’d never seen before.

At first, nothing. Then I looked up… and she was looking at me.

I pretended not to notice. Then I looked again.
And she was still there.

We started looking at each other several times, almost without realising it.
At one point we even smiled at each other.

It wasn’t forced; everything seemed natural.

We got off at the same stop.
I was convinced I would talk to her.

But the moment we got off:

she went one way

i went the other

And I did nothing.

My story:
I often take that train after work. It's always the same: same people, same seats.

That day, though, I sat opposite a girl I'd never seen before.

At first, nothing. Then I looked up… and she was looking at me.

I pretended nothing was happening. Then I looked again.
And she was still there.

We started looking at each other several times, almost without realising it.
At one point we even smiled at each other.

It didn't feel forced; it all seemed natural.

We got off at the same stop.
I was sure I would speak to her.

But the moment we got off:

she went one way

I went the other

And I did nothing.

How did it end?
The next day I took the same train.
Then the one after that too.

I never saw her again.

EyeContact was created for exactly this.

Don't let it end like this
